Why we should preserve Berber History

I believe that Berber History should be preserved because, a lot of people live in these traditional villages and they deserve to keep their identity clear. Why can other bigger societies get to keep their old history and these people cannot? Not many of the Berber languages are written, but still the elderly can tell their children or the younger ones, and they can pass it down. Also, I think that many of the people who have actually gotten to know the Berbers, and seen how they live and that they are happy with what they have, should understand. If people take the time to try to understand the Berbers history then maybe it would be preserved even more and their culture could spread farther than it already has! I believe that Berber history musn't be left behind because we built up from there aspects and we have to keep on growing if we want to get somewhere, so the more we grow more things will fade away. Culture cannot fade away in these cases, because then we have nothing to built up from.

  1. I agree that Berber's deserve to preserve their culture just like any other society but why would Americans care about Berbers and their culture?

  2. I agree that we should keep berber history. However there is no one who wrote the berber history long time ago this is why we don't know much about it. I think it is important for them and they should know their own history. For example most of the americans don't know about moroccan history. However I know about it because it is part of my culture. It is interesting how there is many theories of how berbers came to Morocco.

In your opinion how does berbers came to Morocco?

  3. I agree that we should keep Berber History and Traditions because these are one of the main parts of Berber Culture. Also not many berber history was written which makes it harder for people to understand them. People should now keep storytelling about history so that it is not forgotten.

Why did Berbers come to North Africa?

  4. I agree that we should keep Berber history and traditions because no one has the right to come and change it unless the Berbers want to change it themselves. They are proud of their origins and they don't want to let it die which is normal for a civilization to not want to die out and be forgotten.

Why don't the government help these people to preserve their culture? The Berber culture is a good thing for Moroccan culture, it makes it more original. I think people should help the Berbers to preserve their culture.

  5. Great presentation Mika, I agree that the Berber History should be preserved but the Berbers also have to help out with that role. They also need to pass down the history instead and not just scientist researching and researching.

How long ago did the Berbers come to Morocco? and in your opinion how do you think they got there?

  6. I liked your presentation and I agree with you that it is unfair the the bigger communities can keep their history while the smaller communities's
history is just forgotten. It is part of their identity and they have the right to keep it.

You said that the Berber language is not written down a lot and so the Berber history should be passed on from the elderly to the children but what if the children don't care about their history.

  7. Your summary was great.

What do you exactly mean when you say we build up from their aspects? How did we build up from them?

  8. Question : Why do you think is Berber history not recognized as a formal history?

Your presentation was interesting, but I think that you should have mentioned thee Berbers before Islam came, because I think that that is the longest and most important part of Berber history. I also think that Berber history has many more secrets than we know, and, wouldn't it be nice to discover these secrets?

In your opinion why do you think no one recorded their history?

  10. I liked your slide show because it was simple and you made me understand easily.

But what if there's the recordings their history, then why did it disappear so someone hide them?

  11. I like you topic because I think it is very interesting to learn about the Berber's history.

Q: If the Berber history was written down do you think that the Berber's would of been a known city? And do you think that it would also be like a more modern city with like malls and industries?
